Tale of the Bayou

Tale of the Bayou is an original work by Michelle Bettin.  Based in New Orleans during the Jazz Era, Jean, a street performer falls, in love with Colette, a beautiful ballerina.  They get married and have a beautiful daughter named Celeste.

One day Celeste mysteriously gets sick and no one can help her.  As a last resort, Jean and Colette go to Madame Duval, the herbalist deep in the bayou to save their little girl. The parents go on a journey and go past pick-pocketing alligators, flapping flamingos, a haunted cemetery, and majestic cranes to find the magic bloom that can save their daughter's life.

This ballet is a jazz inspired ballet, with music that will leave you toe tapping and dancing through the aisle.
